How to get to the UAS Emden/Leer and where to stay

You could find our campus in Emden under the following adress:

Plane

Following national airports provide considerable train connections to Emden:

Bremen (BRE) Airport (approx. 2 hours by train),
Hamburg (HAM) - Fuhlsbüttel Airport (approx. 3 hours by train),
Hanover (HAJ) Airport (approx. 3.5 hours by train),
Düsseldorf (DUS) Airport (approx. 3-4 hours by train) or
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (approx. 4 hours by train)

Train

Get off at the station Emden Hauptbahnhof. The university is close to the central station (1,5 km).

And then continue by feet (ca. 12 Min.): When you leave the station keep going right towards the bridge, take the stairs and then go again to the right. The next traffic-light-crossroad go to the right (Ubierstraße) and take then after 50 m the left street called Teutonenstraße. You approach now directly the university (after 500 m on the right side).

Or by bus: Take the bus 422 or 504 from the central station and get off at the stop “Larrelter Straße/Hochschule.

Or by taxi: Take the access “Teutonenstraße” to get to the “Hochschule Emden/Leer”.

Car

From the south (direction Cologne/Ruhr Area) take the motorway A31 until Emden.

From the north and east (direction Bremen) take first the motorway A28 and change at the motorway junction “Leer” to the A31 direction Emden.

From the west (direction Groningen/Netherlands) take the motorway A7 (NL) direction Nieuweschans/Oldenburg (D). Continue on the A280 and then at the motorway junction “Bunde” take the left way to the motorway A31 direction Emden/Leer. Then continue on the motorway, at the junction “Leer” take the A31 direction Emden.

Drive around Emden on the motorway. At the end of the A31 take the left way at the first traffic-light-crossroad and also the left street at the next traffic-light-crossroad. One the right hand you see the university building with plenty of possibilities to park.
