Our common future is based on sustainability in global cooperation.

The University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer has committed itself to these aims in its guidelines: Sustainability and Social Cooperation!

The university and the region East Frisia are involved in many sustainable aims and development, e.g. renewable energy by wind generators, hydrogen technology in research projects, new renewable propulsion technologies for ships, the natural reserve and UNESCO world heritage Wadden Sea, to name but a few.

Therefore, the university is now offering a special program on sustainability to all international exchange students including a scientific introduction and projects.

This program allows international exchange students of all our facilities to get an insight into environmental, social and economic challenges within just one semester!

What does the Sustainability Engagement Program include?

The Sustainability Engagement Program is structured into four components:
