The COCare Study

From the beginning of the pandemic to today, care home personnel have been a key group in preventing and containing the spread of SARS-CoV-2 into these vulnerable populations. This high responsibility is, however, likely to also increase the risk of mental strain and compromised mental health in the members of this occupational group. This risk might be particularly high for those who work in facilities where there have been fatalities due to SARS-CoV-2 among residents, but even where pandemic prevention efforts have been successful so far, demands and challenges have increased markedly.

The COVID-19 COCare study is a longitudinal study investigating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on resilience trajectories of people professionally caring for people 60+ in Europe.
