Publication server of the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer.

With ► OPUS, the publication server of the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer, the University Library Emden/Leer offers authors the opportunity to make their publication available online in electronic form free of charge.

The University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer thus supports the Open Access idea, which stands for free access to scientific literature on the Internet. Further information is available on the platform ► open-access.net/startseite.

Online publishing

 

To publish your document in electronic form online on the publication server of the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer, please proceed as follows:

  1. Create a PDF file of your publication.
  2. Fill out the declaration of consent for online publication of an electronic publication on the publication server of the Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences [PDF, german]and send it signed to the Emden/Leer University Library. With the declaration of consent you determine the license of your publication.
  3. Go to ► OPUS, select the navigation point "Publish" and follow the instructions in the publication form.

As soon as the university library has received all declarations of consent, your publication will be unlocked in OPUS and thus made available worldwide.

 

Publication of bachelor and master theses

With the start of the winter semester 2023/24, graduates of Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences can publish their thesis on OPUS, please proceed as follows:

  1. On the website of the Admission and Examination Office you will find the recommendation for the publication of the thesis as well as the declaration of consent for the publication of the thesis.
  2. Get the recommendation for publication signed by the examiners and send it to the library as indicated.
  3. After receiving the letter of recommendation, please fill out the consent form for the publication of the thesis and send this to the library as well. It is also possible to hand in the forms on site. With the declaration of consent you determine the licence of your publication. You will find a detailed description of the types of licence on the form.
  4. Go to ► OPUS, select the navigation point "Publish" and follow the instructions in the publication form.

As soon as the university library has received all declarations of consent, your publication will be unlocked in OPUS and thus made available worldwide.
