Fairtrade University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer

The University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer is certified as a Fairtrade university. This means that we offer products with the Fairtrade label in the canteen and at our meetings, and that we also continuously promote fair trade in other educational events and information campaigns.

All activities are coordinated by the Fairtrade Steering Group, consisting of students and staff at the university as well as representatives of the Studentenwerk Oldenburg. All are welcome to participate and if you are interested in helping out, you can contact anna.gerritzen(at)hs-emden-leer.de.

At least once each quarter, the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer addresses the topic of Fairtrade in lectures, film screenings or at the evening market. The Studentenwerk Oldenburg prepares a fair meal in the canteen for Fairtrade Cooking Day in Fairtrade week in September.
