A small but excellent campus university with around 4,260 students awaits you in Emden – the perfect size for your lecturers to get to know you personally and support you. At the same time, you can pursue your thirst for knowledge undisturbed on your own and explore the special fields that interest you most, for example in our modern library, which has everything – including plenty of space and peace and quiet. So you can concentrate fully on your studies and really enjoy your time with us.
The seaport city of Emden also offers the ideal conditions for this: you live cheaply, have peace and quiet to learn and can try out many sports in your spare time. Opportunities for sailing, windsurfing and rowing, for example, are just as abundant here as the sand by the sea. And museums, theatres and cinemas are just a stone's throw away.
science over an area of 90,000 m2
Founded in 1973 with the Faculties of Social Work and Business Studies, the Emden campus today combines the following areas: Social Work and Health, Technology and Business Studies – with over on 20 Bachelor and 10 Master study programs. The campus currently covers a total area of 90,000 square metres.
And we are still growing: for example, we are starting the 2019 summer semester with a completely new building: the modular house that offers even more space for events and offices. For you this means even more opportunities for project-based learning in small groups.
The heart of our campus culture is the Lüttje Studi Huus, which was built on the initiative of students. It is always open to you and your fellow students and offers space for relaxation and creativity. Here you can get to know interesting people, have fascinating conversations – and maybe even make friends for life.
