The Emden / Leer University of Applied Sciences has compiled information for first-semester students for all faculties. You will find: dates, information on finding a room at the university, health insurance during your studies and BAföG (Federal Training Assistance Act) as well as information on semester fees.

The Student Service Centre (SSC) is also available to answer any questions you may have.

When and how do I start?

  • The summer semester 2026 starts for all students from March, 2nd 2025.
  • We are organising a few events to get to know each other in the first semester week for new students from 2-6 March 2026.
  • The welcome event will take place on Monday, March 2, at 10:00 a.m. at Bergmannstrasse 36 in the auditorium of the Maritime Technical Center. Here you will receive all the important information you need for your first days of study.
