RESPONSIBILITIES: The representative body for employees with severe disabilities is elected by employees with severe disabilities and those deemed equivalent for a term of four years. Its primary responsibility is to promote the participation of people with severe disabilities in the workplace or agency and to provide them with assistance and advice.
These include
Monitoring compliance with laws and regulations applicable to people with severe disabilities
Submitting requests for measures (including preventive ones) for people with severe disabilities to the relevant authorities
Assisting employees with applications for the determination of a severe disability or for equivalent treatment
Receiving and processing suggestions and complaints from people with severe disabilities
Participating in all matters affecting people with severe disabilities (e.g., hiring procedures, changes to working conditions, designing the workplace to accommodate disabilities)
