A gantry welding system and a robot system are available on which the MIG/MAG/WIG and laser welding processes (heat conduction and deep penetration welding) can be tested in their various forms. The set production parameters are monitored and reliably recorded in line with Industry 4.0. The possible changes in the properties of the material in the area of the weld seam can be investigated using the materials science equipment.
The laser welding of metals and plastics is carried out overlapping with the equipment for industrial laser material processing.
Since November 2020, a laser cell with a robot has been available for carrying out different welding processes. Laser welding processes and conventional welding processes can also be investigated here for three-dimensional geometries.
