International University Week (SocNet98)

The Department of Social Work and Health is a member of the International Social Work Network(SocNet98), an association of faculties of social work, social services and social pedagogy at European universities founded in 1998.

Every year, students and representatives of the network universities meet at the International University Week (IUW) to learn, discuss and exchange ideas on social work topics. The language of communication during the IUW is English.

 

The International University Week in April 2026 will take place at the following universities

  • Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences, Jena, Germany
  • Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen, Netherlands
  • HUMAK University of Applied Sciences, Helsinki, Finland
  • PXL University of Applied Sciences, Hasselt, Belgium

In 2025, the IUW was held from March 31 to April 4 at the following universities

  • Constantine the Philosopher University, Nitra (Slovakia)
  • Bremen University of Applied Sciences (Germany)
  • St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences (Austria)
  • University of South-Eastern Norway (Norway)
