In the "Wind Challenge" project, our students work in an interdisciplinary setting on the development, design, and testing of a small wind turbine. The project fosters an environment in which students from a wide variety of scientific disciplines can apply their theoretical and practical knowledge—not just through boring online video conferences, but through a concrete, challenging task!
The interdisciplinary nature of the project, as well as participation in an international competition, will improve your soft skills and your understanding of complex interrelationships in the long run.
Our team was founded in 2019 to participate in the“International Small Wind Turbine Contest (ISWTC) ” in the Netherlands. Every year, student teams gather there to compete directly against one another with their wind turbines.
Currently, our focus is more on completing the existing turbine, so we are not participating in the competition at this time. However, if we can once again find a group of motivated team members, the time will be right to develop a new turbine!
Whether you're just starting your studies or are about to graduate, whether it's a technical project to broaden your horizons or for your thesis—students from all departments are warmly invited to support us!
