Maßnahmen gegen sexualisierte Diskriminierung und Gewalt
Die Hochschule übernimmt innerhalb ihres Zuständigkeitsbereiches die Verantwortung dafür, dass die Persönlichkeitsrechte von Menschen und deren individuelle Persönlichkeitsgrenzen respektiert und gewahrt werden. Sexualisierte Diskriminierung und Gewalt stellen eine Verletzung der Persönlichkeitsrechte dar.
Sexualisierte Diskriminierung und Gewalt äußert sich grenzverletzenden und die Würde verletzenden Verhaltensweisen wie sexuell herabwürdigenden Kommentaren über Personen oder deren Körper oder Aufforderungen zu sexualisiertem oder sexuellem Verhalten bis hin zu körperlichen Übergriffen und Vergewaltigung.
Mit der Verabschiedung der „Richtlinie zum Schutz vor Diskriminierung, Belästigung und Gewalt“ (PDF) - "Directive on protection against discrimination, harassment and violence" (PDF) durch den Senat im Jahr 2022 ist die Hochschule Emden/Leer einen wichtigen Schritt in Richtung „Antidiskriminierung“ und „Respektvoller Umgang“ gegangen. Grundlage der Richtlinie ist das Allgemeine Gleichbehandlungsgesetz (AGG). In diese Richtlinie wurde die seit 2014 bestehende „Richtlinie gegen sexualisierte Diskriminierung und Gewalt“ integriert.
Neben den Möglichkeiten zur Beratungund Beschwerde an der Hochschule stehen Betroffenen von sexualisierter Diskriminierung und Gewalt je nach individuellem Fall noch weitere rechtliche Möglichkeiten offen. So können Betroffene prüfen, ob sie weitere arbeitsrechtliche, strafrechtliche und/oder zivilrechtliche Schritte einleiten möchten.
