From 8th to 12th May 2023 the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer hosted the 5th International Staff Training Week with the topic "Shaping the Future of University Life". This event was designed, inter alia, for staff members of our international (ERASMUS+)Partner Universities and offered a wide program, such as individual workshops, a World Café as well as an intersting cultural program. In total, we hosted 25 international guests from Portugal, Spain, Albania, Türkiye, the Netherlands, Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Norway and Italy at our campus in Emden.
The participants were divided into different special interest groups which were offered by the Centre for Lifelong Learning,the Computer Center, the Faculty of Technology (Mechanical Engineering), thet Knowledge and Technology Transfer, the International Office, the Student Counselling Service and the project Think4Jobs.
Apart from the informative workshops, the traditional East Frisian tea ceremony at the city hall, the excursions to the Meyer Shipyard and the regional environmental centre "Ökowerk" as well as the East Frisian Coastal Bus Tour were the highlights of the week.
