SummerSchool Emden: Technical German for STEM studies
International prospective and current students can spend 4 weeks each in the forenoon preparing for their STEM studies at Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences with experienced teachers from the Department of Engineering.
You have your university entrance qualification for a STEM degree course (i.e. mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology) in your pocket and your German language level is already B2 (or equivalent): Then our SummerSchool at Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences is the right place for you!

What to expect at summer school?
Supported by experienced teachers and current STEM students, you will
- refresh and expandyour basic previous knowledge
- Acquire and deepenSTEM vocabulary of technical subjects in German (Technical German)
- Get to knowstudying at Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences better (course structure, forms of teaching and examinations, learning techniques, etc.)
And what's special:
At the end of each week, there will be an activity with a STEM background where you can try out and apply the technical German you have learned on site!
Participation is free of charge
Participation in the summer school in Emden is free of charge. However, costs for accommodation, meals and travel are to be covered by the participants themselves. It is advisable to plan the organization of these things as early as possible. Participants can receive support from the project contact persons, who will be happy to help with the organization and answer any questions.
