Emden lectures
Since 2015, Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences, in cooperation with the city of Emden and the Johannes a Lasco Library, has been inviting citizens of the city and the region to the Emden Lectures once a year in the fall.
The lectures cover a wide range of topics relating to sustainability, society and culture and are given by prominent figures from the Association of German Scientists. At the heart of this series of events are analyses and perspectives for overcoming current and future social problems and challenges. Emden's historically grown liberal and cosmopolitan aura, which extends beyond national borders, offers the best conditions for this.
