The GEB-Certificate

For international students who are seeking to work in Germany

What and for whom is the GEB-Certificate for?
(GEB means German Culture and Language, Employability Training, Business Networking)

Completing the certificate helps developing and improving important soft skills needed for a successful entry into the German Job market. It can also show potential employers that you are willing to further your skills and establish yourself permanently in Germany.

How to achieve the GEB-Certificate

The GEB-Certificate is composed of the 4 modules: German Culture, German Language, Employability Training, Business Networking.

Each module has different requirements which must be fulfilled for the certificate to be issued.

  1. German Culture: Participation in two Workshops (german everyday culture, swimming lessons, etc.)
  2. German Language: Proof of participation of one language course with at least 50 lesson hours.
  3. Employability Training: Participation in two Workshops
  4. Business Networking: Participation in at least two events: these include career fairs, company events or alumni events. Career fairs will require additional participation in preparations & follow-up sessions.

It is mandatory to register for the certificate in the Moodle-Course, where all the necessary instructions and information will be available.

The workshops, that will be recognised each semester, will be listed there too. Make sure to collect participation confirmations from the Workshops you attend and submit them together to apply for the certificate.
