International Degree Program Industrial Engineering and Management, IBS (B. Eng.)

The profile of the industrial engineer (m/f) is as diverse as his or her areas of work. Industrial engineers (m/f) are employed at the interfaces between business and technology. These include cross-departmental positions and tasks in companies where integrative competence is in the foreground. Among them are functions in the fields of logistics, marketing, sales, accounting and controlling, as well as production and manufacturing management, corporate management, especially in research and development.

The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management - Industrial and Business Systems (IBS) is an internationally oriented degree program, which focuses on technology (40%), economics (40%), and languages and soft skills (20%).

In the Industrial and Business Systems (IBS) degree program, the focus is on technical subjects. In addition to gaining economic, technical, and scientific knowledge, the main focus of the participating departments of economics and technology is on acquiring production engineering know-how.

The economic aspect of the course of studies offers business administration basics and management-oriented specialist lectures. Special offers in the English-language lecture pool of the Faculty of Business Administration open up interesting possibilities for specialization, such as international management.

The technically oriented part of the program also offers the opportunity to specialize in the areas of production systems, or energy and environment.
