Your studies in Leer

With around 35,000 inhabitants, the town of Leer is the third largest town in East Frisia. Influenced by trade and shipping, it is still Germany's second largest shipping company location. The importance of the trading town is still evident in the picturesque old town where our campus is located. 

Eleven professors teach and conduct research on our Maritime Campus, supported by around 20 subject teachers, teaching staff and science and administration staff. And the Business Campus has been offering a dual study programme in Business Administration since 2018. In short: The perfect choice for anyone who not only wants to breathe in the smell of the big wide world but also attaches great importance to practical studies in addition to theory.

Nachhaltiger Feierabendmarkt lockt zur Frühlingsausgabe

Hochschule lädt zum Bummel auf den Campus Emden ein

Die Hochschule Emden/Leer lädt zu ihrem ersten Nachhaltigen Feierabendmarkt in diesem Jahr ein. Am Mittwoch, 21. Mai, wird es auf dem Platz vor der Mensa am Campus Emden wieder ein attraktives Angebot an regionalen Ständen mit Produkten in Bioqualität oder aus fairem Handel sowie jede Menge Informationen zum Thema Nachhaltigkeit aus der Hochschule und von Initiativen aus der Region geben.

Mit dabei sind diesmal unter anderem folgende Stände:

Initiiert und organisiert wird der Nachhaltige Feierabendmarkt von der Koordinationsstelle für Nachhaltigkeit und gesellschaftliche Verantwortung an der Hochschule. Schirmherr ist Rico Mecklenburg, Präsident der Ostfriesischen Landschaft.
