Maritime Technology and Shipping Management (B.Sc.)

In this degree programme, you will gain knowledge ranging from logistics and financing through ship design, marine environmental protection and marine technology to international legal frameworks and quality management in shipping. In the optimised Maritime Technology & Shipping Management degree programme, you will learn about all the different aspects of the maritime sector – with more a more practical focus than ever before.

You will be superbly qualified for a wide range of future employers. In addition to shipping companies and shipyards, your potential future employers will include the entire maritime industry, port operations, authorities, international logistics service providers, the offshore energy sector, marine technology and hydraulic engineering, as well as maritime consultants operating on a global scale, classification societies and multinational groups with their global flows of goods.

The maritime sector operates on a global scale. The degree programme therefore features international elements. The first two years of study will be completed in German. During this time, you will learn “maritime English” in addition to gaining the necessary specialist knowledge. The sessions in the third year of study will then be offered in English. Of course, all examinations can be taken in German or English as you wish.
