PITS presentation at the North Sea Conference in Aberdeen

In June, over 400 investors, project founders, developers and executors from different business sectors and regions joined the North Sea Conference. This annual conference was held in Aberdeen, Scotland. The meeting offered the opportunity to discuss future perspectives and opportunities making the North Sea region more interesting to invest and to live.

The conference also provides a forum for European research projects to present their results. In this context Jessica Krzyzaniak, research associate at the Institute for Logistics at the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer (HILOG), was given the opportunity to present the PITS platform (Professional Intelligent Transport Solutions, www.pitsmarketplace.eu). The presentation received very positive feedback from the conference participants. The PITS platform integrates transport knowledge from different sources and presents multi-modal transport options to SME’s. The main objective of the platform is to promote green transport alternatives and is developed by DTU (Denmark), HILOG (Germany) and Target Holding (the Netherlands) as a subproject of the Interreg IVb project GreCOR. The GreCOR (Green Corridor in the North Sea Region) project aims to promote the development of a multi-modal transport corridor in the North Sea Region. Any feedback is very welcome and may be provided directly on the platform at www.pitsmarketplace.eu.
