According to a resolution by the Conference of Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK) on 28.06.2002 "knowledge and skills acquired outside higher education (...) are credited towards a higher education course as part of a (...) classification if (...) they are equivalent in content and level to the part of the course of study which is to be replaced."
For professionally qualified people, this means for all courses of study: Knowledge acquired outside of the university and professional experience can be credited towards a course of study. The examination board decides whether equivalence exists and whether recognition is possible. An application is required.
Have you attended business college or the specialist business secondary school? Then you may be able to have certain school achievements credited to you. You can find more information and the application form here.
