E.L.M.I. LIMS
E.L.M.I. Laboratory Informational System
E.L.M.I. offers coding for QT-labels which can be put on a microscope slide. Error-proofreading is included.
The information may be read both: with an android handy and with a commercial hand scanner (supported is the Gryphon High Density, DataLogic).
More than 500 chars on one microscope slide tag, printed on normal paper with an ink printer is standard. (Our most extreme coding was 1014 chars)
Coding for password protected QT is possible (to ensure, that the information on the slide is for your eyes only), mut not yet implemented.
Four modes are possible:
1. Produce the QT for your microscope slide with the information you want on a normal ink jet printer with normal paper
2. Just scan and read the info on the QT of the microscope slide
3. Read the information of the QT on your micoscope slide and get all the records for that object with an instant database-search.
4. Read the information of the QT and write it down to the image-database to connect an image with your micoscope slide
Commercial hand held scanner supported by E.L.M.I. LIMS
Currently DataLogic's Gryphon-GD44xx scanner is supported with E.L.M.I. LIMS using the USB-COM emulation as interface. There is a version of the scanner available, which is usable in S1/S2 labs, also.
