What was your first position after graduating with a Master degree of the university?

I started as an intern during my master's thesis at Goodyear during my final semester. Slowly I have moved after my completion of studies as a production planner and then finally moved into manufacturing as a network leader with emphasis on planning and scheduling. My current job title is Regional Compound & Treatment Network Leader EMEA at Goodyear Dunlop Tires Operations S.A., Luxembourgh.

What career-related skills did you enquire during your studies and is there anything you would recommend to our current/future students?

The most interesting subject for me was obviously production management and the SAP modules that were included. On top we got the chance to learn different ERP systems and not to forget the project management fundamentals and simulation.

Which combined as a package were the essentials that paved a path towards my future. More concentrated emphasis on the different ERP systems not just for advance modules but also for fundamentals would be great.

Why did you choose to study Technical Management at the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer?

Technical Management was the exact course I was looking for after my bachelors as there was equal opportunity to have peek into the management segment with a continued emphasis also on the core subjects - me being from a mechanical background.

Well there are quite a few to begin with: Trip to Berlin, Trip to BARD, Trip to Helgoland, PM Group Activities, Wednesday night clubbing, Language classes, Group lunches, etc.

However, the highlight was definately the 2 day PM simulation which is learning and fun.
