International Staff Training Week 2015

Review of the week

From 18th to 22nd May 2015 the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer hosted the 2nd International Staff Training Week. This event was designed for staff members of our international (ERASMUS-)Partner Universities and offered a wide programme, individual workshops, a World Café focussing on "Innovation in Student Life Cycle" as well as a cultural program. 26 international guests from the following universities took part in the week:

  • Goldsmiths University of London (UK)
  • Ashkelon Academic College (Israel)
  • University of Bergen (Norway)
  • University of Gdansk (Poland)
  • Instituto Politécnico de Sebútal (Spain)
  • Universitat de València (Spain)
  • Universidad de Murcia (Spain)
  • Universidad de Barcelona (Spain)
  • Universidad Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain)
  • Universidad de La Coruña (Spain)
  • as well as additional guests from Spain and Bulgaria

Our international guests participated at the following "Special Interest Groups": Technology Transfer, Computing Centre, International Office, Library, Planning and Quality Assurance, Finance Department, Faculty of Technology/Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the Faculty of Martime Studies and the Faculty of Social Work and Health. On Tuesday afternoon also the Faculty of Maritime Studies invited participants from their partner universities for a visit.

The International Staff Training Week was coordinated by the International Office with support of the Technology Transfer.


The 3rd International Staff Training Week is scheduled for May 2017. The week will be officially announced during fall 2016.
