UNIX-System

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science operates since 1990 their own computer system, which was created from the need for UNIX computers for computer training and is continuously adapted to current needs.

With the move into the new building in the year 2000 the offer has been extended to Windows. Various practice training takes place in the four internship facilities (E213, E215, E216 and E217). Even outside of these events the rooms are available to students. Either can be used with Linux or Windows, to the present Workstation, Thin Clients or their own laptop.

The network infrastructure in the building of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is also maintained by the staff of the UNIX system.
