I am from Bangalore, India. I studied in Mysore in SJCE College under Visweswaraya Technological Univeristy.

Are you an international exchange student or an international degree student?

I am an International Degree Student.

What is your field of study and in which semester are you in?

My field is Mechanical Engineering and I completed my final semester and working in southern Germany.

Why have you chosen the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer for your study period in Germany?

There are two reasons for selecting this university First one, The University of applied sciences offers the perfect platform to study both Technical and Management subjects. Technical subjects are very intersting with advanced Mechanical Engineering Courses such as 'Advanced FEM' and Product Developemednt Module. Management subjects too give a good insight into how are things managed in Industries. The other reason is the place or the region, Emden is a small, student friendly town.

What do you especially like at the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer?

I like the attention given to every student in the University by Professors!!! be carefull guys!!. The summer fests, the tours offered by International office are best for seeing places ( Berlin, Helgoland) in Germany!

Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for future international students?

The only Suggestion from my experience in Germany is to Learn German as much as you can before coming to Germany. It helps in easily understanding local people, getting internships and making new friends. Also, Emden being perfect for students with low cost of living , have lots of fun! wednesdays to Mozo.. and weekends travelling around with semester ticket.

Do you have any advice or hints about living in Emden/Germany?

Living in Germany, agian its the Language, learn!. Be mentally prepared to experience new culture and have fun!
